Beth is both a professional photographer and an animal lover. For the past decade, she has had a studio in Norton Commons, Kentucky.
Best known for her pet photography, Beth focuses on bringing out the true essence of animals through her lens. Her work captures animals in their most relaxed, unguarded state. You can almost see what they’re thinking in Beth’s images.
Beth uses her photography to help rescue organizations showcase their adoptable animals as well as to raise money for their work with the animals in their care. Her images have been featured for the past eight years on the calendar covers for both the Kentucky Humane Society and the GRRAND Golden Retriever Rescue, in addition to billboards and buses for the Pit Bull Dogs are Family campaign. She also donated equipment and trained photographers to the Kentucky Humane Society to help the organization create quality pictures of adoptable dogs and cats. The photographs are used online to increase their chance of adoption.
Beth’s images have been featured on the national cover of TAILS magazine and in campaign ads for Dog is Good and The MAve Hotel in New York City. Her wildlife photography won Honorable Mention in the prestigious One Eyeland Awards, and Beth won a trip to Botswana through a contest judged by National Geographic Africa.
Before her pursuing a career in photography, Beth worked as a television meteorologist and journalist. She has also held director positions at both Churchill Downs Racetrack in Louisville, KY, and Baptist Hospital.
Bourbon Tails: The Dogs of Bourbon Country is Beth’s first book. A large portion of the proceeds will benefit the Kentucky Humane Society.
